contd....
So
it was my turn now, but the Captain interrupted and asked Prof if he
could answer instead of me and Prof denied that. I felt pressure because
of Captain's question but had to calm down and answer it. I started to
answer and went with the flow looking straight into Prof's eyes,
suddenly I had got confidence from somewhere. The Prof gave a smile and
wrote 10 on the board which meant scores level. My Team cheered up
hooting and the other Team went silent.
Prof announced there would a Tie Breaker round to decide the Winner.
This time he told Captains to decide a person who would answer to the
question without writing any question on board which meant it would be a
blind question. Also provided us with some brush up time before that.
The Captain wanted to be that person but Team convinced him to have faith in me and let me face it.
One more time the Captain had to give up for me and now I had all the responsibility on my shoulder. I was not nervous this time, but instead had all the confidence. So time came when we had to close the books and had to jump in the battlefield. This time I had to call for the toss and I lost to that geek.

She
asked me to go first. Prof asked a question to me and I gave answer
with the same confidence. Full Marks!! Now it was her turn, if she would
make any mistake this time then we would win. But she too answered it
correctly and quiz was still on. Next question was shoot to me and again
I got that right, also she got it right again. Damn...again I got a
question and with a little nervousness I got it right again. Now it was
pressure situation for her and it did the trick. She did made a minor
mistake and we won. A very loud cheer with my name and Prof greeting me
at the same time...It was the Best feeling of my life I would ever had.
My neighbor on bench wished me and a guy who didn't even knew me before
came and Congratulate me. I knew that guy only as other students would
talk about him saying he talks a lot to girls and he is also like one.
His name was Rachit. That guy asked me whether its Ok if he would sit
next to me??? I was confused and naturally I said Yes. Captain and the
entire team was happy and wished me. Another guy came to me and asked
"How much time I spend studying in a day?" I said "...not much".
Suddenly all felt like a lot positive about me and happiness was all
over my face. More than that I could take a sigh of relief because the
Captain who was also my schoolmate would have bullied me if I had lost
the quiz.
So this was break time and for the first time me, Rachit and Ashwin (my neighbor) went out for snacks. It was good to get along with them. Soon we returned for the next lecture and again I could not concentrate on it, but this time it was due to the feeling I was still enjoying in my mind. The lecture went off soon and we had a short break. There was another class in the next room which was named Merit Aimer's Batch and mine was Scholar's Batch divided by percentage in ninth grade. I always envied them. It was the same Prof's lecture there and the topper of my school who was in that batch came to me and said "Sir, teri badi taarif kar rahe the....sare answer diye tune..." he was trying to bully me along with his batchmate but it was Ok. I was happy because now there was direct competition with all the Merit Aimer's and they know it and who else then the Prof declaring it. There was an announcement for a Test on the subject for which we had quiz, for 25 marks on Sunday, a day after. The topper of the Test in all batches was displayed on Notice board. People started saying me that " Is bar toh tera hi naam aane wala hai" and I too got carried away with that.
